A grandparent’s Bonita Springs villa being cleared before the listing goes live. A Punta Gorda house full of 40 years of belongings, and a family that’s not ready to make every decision at once. This work is different from a regular junk removal call, and we treat it that way.
Before the walk-through: getting everyone on the same page
Estate cleanouts go more smoothly when the family agrees on a few things first. Talk with relatives about who wants which items, and write down anything promised to someone. If the property is in probate, check with the estate attorney about what can be removed and when before the cleanout is scheduled. Decide who will be the point of contact for the crew, whether that’s you, a realtor, or a family member on site.
Where a cleanout fits in the timeline
A common order is: family members take what they want, valuables and documents are set aside, usable items are sold or donated, the rest is cleared, and the property is cleaned and repaired before listing. Walk-through with the family
Before work starts, we walk the property with you, your realtor, or your attorney, in person or by video call. Together we sort what stays, what's donated, what's sold, and what's hauled. Nothing is hauled without your approval.
Valuables and documents set aside
Silverware, jewelry, photo albums, letters, and financial paperwork are flagged during the walk-through and set aside for the family before hauling begins. We don't decide what's sentimental.
Donation coordination
Usable furniture and household goods are routed to local charities when they'll accept them. Charities choose what they take, so we confirm what's likely to be accepted during the walk-through.
Items worth selling
Pieces that may have resale value are flagged for estate sale companies, and we can refer trusted ones in Fort Myers. You choose whether to sell, donate, or haul.

How much does an estate cleanout in Fort Myers cost?

What happens to the items you take?

Recyclable materials (metals, electronics) go to proper recycling. Everything else goes to the appropriate Lee County disposal facility.
